`Aquatanks` range of sectional insulated cold-water storage cisterns, assembled from glass re-enforced plastic (GRP) panels. The panels are constructed in sandwich form with a layer of GRP each side of a 25mm thick block of insulation. Cisterns have 10mm stainless steel studding A4 316 marine grade bracing and 3" PVCu supports. These are manufactured to BS3505, 1986 by Hepworth Industrial Plastics. The roof covers are of the same panel construction; panels provided with manhole inspection hatch, joints are sealed with synthetic rubber gaskets.

`Balmoral M100` range of hot press moulded GRP sectional panels, for the construction of cold water storage cisterns. Assembled panels are sealed with extruded butyl rubber. The cisterns are fitted with uPVC roof struts to support the roof panels. They are internally braced with stainless steel ties and externally by galvanised steel struts. Panels can be supplied both non-insulated or factory fitted insulation. The roof is fitted with one or more sealed manhole access points, mounted either directly on the roof structure or fitted into a float operated valve housing. Nuts and bolts in contact with water are stainless steel.

Float-controlled valves or equivalent inlet devices should be securely and rigidly attached to the cistern and installed so that the valve closes when the level of the water is not less than 25 mm below the overflowing level of the cistern. Where the cistern is fitted with an approved alternative to a warning pipe, such as an indicator instrument or visual or audible alarm, the inlet valve is to close when the water level is not less that 50 mm below the overflowing level of the cistern.

Note: Can be supplied with optional screened vent and overflow and a WRAS approved inlet valve.
Proviso: The Installer must ensure that the cistern is installed to meet the requirements of the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999.
