We specialise in the design and manufacture of GRP cold water storage tanks, both sectional and onepiece. Sectional Water Tanks are fabricated in panel format, delivered and assembled on site. Standard Sectional Tank Components

1. Tank Options:

•Insulated, suitable for storage of wholesome water (potable water).

•Un-insulated for storing of water for non-wholesome applications such as process water for factories, rain water harvesting.

•All panels are fabricated to withstand harsh climatic conditions.

2. Bolts

Tanks are assembled using 316 grade S/S bolts internally and galvanised bolts externally, complying with current British Standards

BSEN 13280:2001. If required, grade 316 S/S bolts may be placed throughout the tank.

3. Access Hatch

An access hatch is supplied as standard for tank maintenance and access.

4. Screened Vent

We provide a screened vent with all tanks for ventilation.

5. Raised Float Valve Housing

Permits the float valve to be mounted at a higher level on the tank, therefore increasing the usable volume of water.

6. Tank Division

All buildings requiring un-interrupted water supply should install a divider in the tank. The divider allows one side of the tank to be drained down for maintenance, while water supply is maintained from the second segment of the tank.

7. Ladders

Where the tank height is greater than 1.5m, an internal and external ladder is recommended.

8. Condensation Trays: Available for every size tank if required. Condensation trays are supplied in sections and bonded into a single unit on site. A condensation tray can only be supplied with tanks that have an internally flanged base.

9. Connections: Our sales team will discuss various options available.

10. Side Access Hatch: A side access hatch is beneficial where height restrictions apply. It also permits access, if in the event of personnel getting into difficulties inside the tank, while carrying out maintenance work.

WATER, is an essential resource. Therefore, storage of clean, potable water for extended period remains a top priority.Our water tanks, constructed from Glassfibre/Fibreglass Reinforced Polyester (GRP/FRP) panels, fulfill this requirement and supported by technology from Bridgestone Corporation of Japan, using the technically advanced Sheet Moulding Compound (SMC) production method. The GRP panels are dimensionally accurate, uniformly strong and extremely durable under all weather conditions. The Standards and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia (SIRIM) has certified GRP panels to SS245:1995 "Specifications for Glassfibre Reinforced Polyester Sectional Water Tank." In addition, Our Factory and SIRIM, in a joint research project, have subjected GRP panels through 'accelerated weathering' tests. During the test, the GRP panels are subjected to 4000 hours of simulated rain, sunlight and UV rays and the results as shown in the table below. In these tests, GRP panels maintained their structural integrity for about fifteen years of simulated service life, in tropical weathering conditions, duly demonstrating their long term durability. Today, GRP water tanks supply millions of gallon of clean, drinking water to many parts of the world.

Hengxing GRP sectional tanks are used in hotels, schools and hospitals etc, both in this country and abroad. They are for use where access is restricted or if replacement of a defective water tank involves structural alteration to the building.

Often, one piece tanks or semi sectional tanks can be installed instead of the more costly sectional tanks. We would always advise our customers to consider these options before deciding on installing a sectional tank.
Sectional tanks can be supplied as a package with installation or supply only to be erected by competant engineers.

General of SMC GRP Sectional Water Tank:

The GRP panel is being made by processing SMC (Sheet Molding Compound which is made from the food grade unsaturated polyester resin with filler, a catalyzer, a parting material, etc. and reinforced with chopped fiberglass.) with glassfiber mat in press moldings by high pressure and heat.

Water tank is widely used in public water supply system in industry, buildings for drinking and fire fighting. SMC GRP Water Tank is more and more popular all around the world now for the excellent quality and advanced lasting capability.

SMC GRP water tank enjoys the good characters of high water quality, no leakage, rustproof, light weight, beautiful looking, easy to install, also with good performance like stretch-proof, bend resistance and anti

aging. Sealed through special seal with glue, and no toxic, water resistance and small transfiguration. The Water Standard for Living (GB5749-85) meets the national water quality standard.

Structure:

Modular panels shall be assembled with bolts and reinforced with steel members internally or externally. It shall have enough strength to withstand the expected load including hydrostatic pressure. The sealing material is made by specialized Non-toxic P.V.C foam tape which has stable characteristics to sustain the water tank no leakage happened.

Each tank shall have at least 1 sealed access manway with lockable cover (min.dia 600mm). The access manhole should have a stainless steel hinged cover and be sealed to prevent the dust into tank.

Barcol hardness (Mpa): no less than 60

Flexural modulus (Mpa): no less than 5900

Water absorption: no more than 1.0%

Fiberglass content: no less than 25%

Installation:

Manufacturing specifications can be customized but subject to manufacturers approval and safety standard. For foreign customer, we can supply electronic artwork sheet for easy installation by your domestic outdoor workers. But we strongly recommended arranging our approved worker to assemble according your requirement.

Maximum distortion of the side wall is less than 1 percent of the height of the water tank; maximum distortion of the bottom center is less than 10mm Tank plate specification is: 1000 * 1000 mm; 1000 * 500 mm; 500 * 500 mm. 4 mm thickness, 6 mm, 8 mm, 9 mm, 10 mm, 12 mm, 14 mm. 4 mm thickness plate special do water tank cover plate. Thus the capacity of water tank for any assembly and can be 0.125 ~ 1500 cubic meters according customer require.

Steel materials used in the tank (ladder, brace, tube, screws...)is base on the material SUS304 316, never rusted materials.
